Plastic fitting families should be separated by their material and connection system rather than by colour or general shape. PPR, CPVC and PVC-U products need matching pipe systems and joining procedures.
Start with the system
A PPR reduced coupling is listed for hot-melt connection. A CPVC socket elbow and PVC-U true union valve need their own approved joining systems.
Do not generalize compatibility
Confirm the pipe series, intended medium, joining consumables and local requirements with the supplier and project team before order approval.
