Threaded fittings are easy to misquote when a buyer only supplies a photo or general name. The correct thread form, taper or parallel geometry, sealing method and mating component should be agreed before a factory releases production.
State the mating connection
For a brass male threaded elbow or angle stop valve, confirm the thread at both ends and the component it connects to. A reducing coupling needs both nominal sizes stated separately.
Describe the seal
Thread sealant, washer faces and mechanical compression connections have different requirements. A compression straight connector also requires tube outside diameter and assembly details.
Before placing the order
- Share a drawing, approved sample or exact mating part.
- Record thread form, nominal size and tolerance.
- Confirm the sealing method and torque-sensitive features.
- Approve marking and carton labels against the final SKU list.
